How should I apply Wet & Forget?
Apply Wet & Forget with a pump up garden sprayer. Do NOT use a hose end sprayer. Hose end sprayers cannot dilute Wet & Forget properly. Be sure to get a good saturation of Wet & Forget on the surface. Apply when rain is not expected for 4-5 hours.
How long will Wet & Forget take to work?
It depends on the intensity of the contamination. If it is really light you will see results within days. Otherwise, it may take 2-3 months to see improvement. Your concrete may turn reddish brown when Wet & Forget is applied. This is normal and shows you have a good reaction. The discoloration will dissipate over a short period of time and is not permanent. The good news is when you use Wet & Forget the following season the cleanup will occur within weeks. In the very worst case scenario, where contamination is extreme, it may take 6-12 months to work.
When is the best time to apply Wet & Forget?
Apply Wet & Forget on a cool, dry, windless day, when no rain is expected for 4-5 hours. Often the evening or early morning are the best times to apply; when evaporation is minimal. This way, the treated surface stays wet with Wet & Forget for an extended period of time. Wet & Forget can be applied at any temperature above 32 degrees.
How long can Wet & Forget be stored?
Wet & Forget has an unlimited shelf life. It is not corrosive. Wet & Forget can be stored in the original bottle as a concentrate or as a dilution in your garden sprayer. The product will not deteriorate after being diluted or damage your garden sprayer. Always keep the cap tightly fastened and the product out of reach of children.
Will Wet & Forget affect my pets?
Not under normal conditions. However, after application, keep your pets off the surface until it is dry to ensure they do not ingest any of the Wet & Forget. If they accidently touch the product, rinse the affected area with fresh water as a precaution.
Will Wet & Forget damage my plants?
Only if Wet & Forget is sprayed directly onto a plant. Protect plants from overspray by rinsing with water before and after application or covering them during application.
Will Wet & Forget remove the contamination off my decks?
Most definitely! It will clean any type of decking. If your deck is older and black with contamination, wait a month after applying Wet & Forget and then give the area a light brush with a scrub brush and warm water. You will need to reapply Wet & Forget after this scrub but the good news is you should only have to do this once and then the maintenance becomes easy.
Can Wet & Forget be used on any outdoor surface?
Absolutely! You can use Wet & Forget on any outdoor surface including: driveways and walkways, patios, pool surrounds, fiberglass, brick, painted surfaces, tombstones, stone, ceramic, textured surfaces, tennis courts, canvas awnings and umbrellas, greenhouses, boats, RV’s, automobiles, stucco, gutters, siding and roofs. ANY exterior surface!
